About the Kennel and the Breeders
I am Alexander Pankratov. I am a Caucasian Ovcharka’s breeder and owner of the Voronezhskie Bogatyri kennel. I become the owner in 2000, my first dog was Bagrat. During these years I’ve created my own system of dog breeding based on inbreeding – the reproduction of the best qualities of the breed Caucasian Mountain dogs in a single ancestral line.
Despite many difficulties, the breed of the Caucasian Mountain dogs not only survived but also continues to evolve. Nowadays, there are kennels for breeding Caucasian ovcharka all over the world (the best are in Russia). Regional and International exhibitions are held and, in addition, a further selection of the breed is taking place.
The Voronezhskie Bogatyri kennel was founded in 2000 in Voronezh, Russia. In March 2003 the kennel was registered in the Russian Kinologist Federation RKF-FCI under #5363 03/21/2003. Our kennel is also registered in The Fédération Cynologique Internationale, the World Canine Organisation under the name VORONEZHSKIEBOGATYRI.
Since its foundation, an enormous work has been done for growing Caucasian Mountain dogs. The kennel’s square is 0.9 hectares (2.2. acres) and it consists of 11 enclosures for the breeding dogs, 3 enclosures for senior dogs, 2 enclosures for puppies and the kennel office building.
We breed by the quality, not the quantity. Our dogs possess the blood of the best manufacturers of the last decade: the Bagrat’s and Dzhabo’s.
The kennel’s aim:
Breeding and growing a large, powerful dog with the correct folding of strong nervous system and the excellent working qualities.
This method produces the first results. Among the kennel’s dogs there are many winners of numerous exhibitions and dog shows both Russian and international ones.
If you have decided to buy a Caucasian Mountain puppy, we recommend you not to buy it on the «avian market» or from dubious persons. Only dog clubs of Caucasian Mountain dogs that have a certificate of Russian Kinologist Federation (RKF), can guarantee a true representative of this wonderful breed. They will trace the development of your puppy, assist in training, advise in details how to keep and feed the puppy.
